Company introduction
MULTIMOVE SHIPPING & TRADING LTD. is a privately owned shipping and logistics company with its head office in Chattogram. Since 1995 it has acted as local agent for vessel owners, operators and charterers, and has served importers, exporters and overseas forwarders through its container and freight-forwarding division.
The company handles liner and tramp vessels at Bangladeshi ports. Its staff assist with crew changes and the clearance and delivery of spares, stores, mail and provisions around the clock, seven days a week. A separate cargo department offers clearing and forwarding, project cargo, air freight, packing, warehousing and international removals.
Multimove's experience covers general cargo, bulk, product, crude and chemical carriers, as well as container and ro-ro vessels. The company has also chartered vessels to carry cargo to and from Bangladesh and has acted in the sale of end-of-life vessels to recycling yards in Chattogram.
Multimove is a company limited by shares, incorporated in Chattogram on 24 March 1997 with the Registrar of Joint Stock Companies, and governed by the Companies Act 1994 and its Memorandum and Articles of Association. It has been registered for VAT as a freight forwarder and C&F agent since 2000.

Milestones
- 1985Mohammed Mozharul Hoque, later Multimove's founder and Managing Director, begins his shipping career with a group of international shipping companies. Over the following years he represents lines including Pacific International Lines, Contimar Lines, Baksh Lines, Syria Europe Lines, Alpima Shipping Lines (Denmark) and Hellenic Lines, and gains specialist experience in LASH (lighter aboard ship) operations in Bangladesh.
- 1995Multimove begins trading in Chattogram, with a container division as an early step towards integrated shipping and logistics services.
- 1997MULTIMOVE SHIPPING & TRADING LTD. is incorporated as a limited company on 24 March 1997.
- 1998The company begins supplying Bangladeshi marine officers, engineers and ratings to international shipowners as a ship-manning agent.
- 2000Registered as a freight forwarder and C&F agent.
- 2000s–2010sAgency work expands across conventional, breakbulk, bulk, tanker and container vessels, with lightering and tanker discharge supervision at Chattogram's outer anchorage.
