Vessel types we handle

Multimove has around two decades of port experience with breakbulk and conventional vessels as well as containerships, and handles general cargo, bulk, product, crude and chemical carriers. Conventional and breakbulk vessels are handled on both liner and free-out terms.

Tanker calls and lightering

Larger tankers calling at Chattogram are typically lightered at the outer anchorage before smaller vessels bring the cargo inside the port. We coordinate lightering, off-loading at the port jetty and discharge to oil terminals through the prescribed pipelines, under the supervision of qualified surveyors.

Ship-to-ship lightering can be arranged between vessels of different sizes, and we can put together a coordinated package for the carriage of crude oil, petrochemicals and liquefied gas with suitable local operators.

Why planning matters

Bulk and liquid cargo operations in Bangladesh depend on tide windows, weather at the anchorage, lighter availability and the timing of surveys and customs procedures. Most delays and claims start with a gap in one of these. Our role is to plan each step with the master, surveyors, terminal and receivers, document what happens, and report promptly when conditions change.
